|added portroids to html page: from our recent trip to New York (Oct 17-18) - at the stage door outside "A Steady Rain" on Broadway: Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig. Next door, as I walked by I got this picture of James Gandolfini, but the photo didn't turn out well. This was the weekend of the New Yorker Festival, so I went to a festival book signing by Wallace Shawn, after which I met up with my friend Alexis and her boyfriend, Marc Mosteirin. From there, I went to another festival event (a Character Actors panel) where I met Richard Kind, Luis Guzman (with me in the photo), and Joan Cusack (I also saw John Turturro, Ricky Jay and Christine Baranski (but didn't get their portroids)). That evening we saw Carrie Fisher's play "Wishful Drinking" and met her afterwards (she was very nice and allowed a photo even though security said no). That is when I discovered my film was expired. I took a test shot on a new cartridge of myself (Rick DeMint). I went to the 49th St exit that night as Saturday Night Live let out (around 1 AM) and got portroids of Jorma Taccone, Akiva Schaffer, and Bill Hader. I also saw (but didn't get a picture of) Lorne Michaels, Will Forte, Bobby Moynihan, Seth Meyers, Jenny Slate, Fred Armisen, Elisabeth Moss, Steve Higgins, Anthony Andersen, John Lutz, Jason Sudeikis (85% sure it was him), and Gerard Butler (was a few feet away, but no interaction). The next day we went to the off-Broadway play "Still Life" and got portroids of Geoffrey Arend (was in the audience), Sarah Paulson, Dominic Chianese, and Halley Feiffer.

Knight; actress Anna Faris and her boyfriend, actor Chris Pratt; actress and reality star Tori Spelling; Academy Award winning actress and Polaroid fan Virginia Madsen; actress Kristen Bell (who was attending with her boyfriend, Dax Shepard. Thanks, Dax.); and excercise guru Jillian Michaels.
I also saw Zooey Deschanel (who was being honored with the Nova Award) with her fiancee Ben Gibbard, but for some reason decided to not approach for a portroid. I had taken Zooey's portroid previously at the DNC in Denver. I also missed a chance to get Willie Nelson's portroid. He was a few feet from me when they ultimately said no more pictures. He was being honored with the Maverick Award.

|added portroids to html page: from our recent trip to New York, the co-owner of Stage Deli with his wall of celebrity Polaroids: Paul Zolenge; after the play 'Uncle Vanya' where he played the titular character, Denis O'Hare; I also met Maggie Gyllenhaal after that play, but she was in too big a hurry for a photo (which would not have turned out! (see what happened with the Hope Davis portroid)); at the play 'God of Carnage', Lucy Liu was sitting in our row, but I did not get the chance to talk to her; after the show, though I got a portroid of Hope Davis, but the film was bad. I took two shots like that before she moved on. I switched the cartridge and she was kind enough to let me take a third portroid, which did turn out (Hope Davis); Marcia Gay Harden, who is also in that play, came out and was really great and talked to everyone outside waiting; I did also talk to Jeff Daniels and had a nice genuine interaction, but he would not pose for a photo (even though he said I could take one), so I didn't take one. We also saw the Will Ferrell play 'You're Welcome America", but he did not come out after the Sunday matinee. Oh well.
